Done in August ‘11 at Kyklops Tattoo in Pittsburgh, PA by Jason! Initially done as a coverup of a self-done stick n poke on my ankle, it evolved into my favorite piece. The roots coming from the skull are all about your basic circle of life stuff, but my real favorite part is the needle through the skull. In the 1600s, Isaac Newton was denied access to a cadaver for dissection by the church, so he inserted a blunt needle into his own eye socket to study its dimensions. This tattoo is meant to be my inspiration to find my own truths.
